Nokia E66 and Nokia E77 are Flash Lite 3 enabled

biskero | 17 June, 2008 17:54

Forum Nokia has just posted the information about the Nokia E66 and Nokia E71. Both these phones are Flash Lite 3.0 enabled and support Flash Lite content as standalone, screensaver and browser. It means that you cna see YouTube videos in the S60 browser.

I will update the WURFL information as soon as possible and track Flash Lite related information on flashlite4nokia for the both E66 and E71

vivichie | 01/02/2009, 14:41

Hi Alessandro and all,

Flash Lite 3.0 Developer Edition seem to have ceased distribution. Are there any alternative download place where i can download flash lite 3.0 and install it on my mobile?

Thanks in advance.

hi all, first nokia cellphone ever to have it all and really fkn good. build quality 5star very cool design, only 2 flaws: battery weak but as long as you don't really need always 3g and wlan you can disable it and get 2-3 days standby with moderate usage, 2nd is nokia maps that you can change with garmin. the rest is just flawless i really enjoy mine and please belive me i do have some experience with up to date handheld cellphones. just ask someone who's having a diamond for about 2 weeks how's the scratch resistant back? and the responsivless of omnia? what about the display too.

E71 a Pethatic Phone

aninda_kumar | 29/07/2008, 07:56

The Most Pethatic Phone Award for the year 2008 goes to the E71.
I made the biggest mistake buying the E71. Nothing in it is worth the money. The reviews are all wrong on the net. Please dont be fooled by the review or the technical specifications. The features are SAD. The battery backup is BAD and the Software is F*****
The battery does not last more than a day in standby mode which Nokia claims to be 17 days.
In use the battery does not last more than 2 hours.
half the applications do not work.
Memory card gets currupted within 3 hours of buying the phone and the Nokia doesnt take the responsibility for the same.
All you phone enthusiasts out there, DONT make the mistake of buying the E71 and waste you money on it.
Rather I'd say STOP buying NOKIA.

Great news

I'm glad that Nokia are enabling flash in more and more of their phones. I guess it's quite standard these days in E and N series handsets.

Ciao,

you can install Flash Lite 3.0 Developer Edition on your N73 but it will not replace Flash Lite 1.1 that is integrated into the OS. The FL 3 DE is only for standalone content so you will not be able to see FL content into the browser.
You can use FL3 application basically.

is it possible that other NSeries (like my N73) be made support Flash Lite 3.0?
