Flash Lite and Nokia SDK

biskero | 27 January, 2007 02:10

Flash Lite content can be preview and executed within the SDK provide by Nokia. Here is a list of SDK that support both Flash Lite 1.1 and Flash Lite 2.0 content for the various Flash Lite implementations:

Flash Lite 1.1
  • Nokia S60 SDK C++  (January 2006): Flash Lite 1.1 standalone and WAP browser
  • Nokia S60 SDK J2ME: Flash Lite 1.1 standalone and WAP browser
  • Nokia S40 SDK FP1: Flash Lite 1.1 standalone, WAP browser, screensavers and wallpapers

Flash Lite 2.0
  • Nokia S60 SDK C++ FP 1: does not currently have support for Flash Lite 2.0 content
  • Nokia S40 SDK FP2: standalone, WAP browser, screensavers, wallpapers
It will be interesting to see support for Flash Lite 2.0 in the S60 SDK FP1 with the new S60 browser. This browser supports Flash Lite 2 content embedded into web pages. Flash Lite 2 supports video, so just curious to do some testing.

is it possible to have both s40 fp1 and s40 fp2 installed on one computer or does one overwrite the other?

also did you get a chance to test out OMA DRM content loaded into Flash through Flash Lite 2.0, like MP3 with OMA DRM forward lock?

biskero Ciao Hayden,

you can have all the SDK installed, there is no conflict.
I did not test that specific scenario of DRM yet, but as soon as I do I will post some infos.
