Hello All
After a prolong waiting its time of some good news for Nokia N97 users, as there is an firmware update available via NSU i.e. nokia software updater.

Hello all
Its the time for another minor realease of Python for S60 1.9.x series.:)
This time its the Python for S60 1.9.2. There are not many changes with respect to the earlier releases but there is a very important addition and that is the brand new Sensor Module. The recent release of Python for S60 has a very new Sensor Module which supports S60 3rd edition FP2 devices and 5th edition too.
Some more positive changes are:
On the dark side S60 2nd edition users will not be able to use that as the OpenC libraries are not available on 2nd edition devices.
You can download the Python for S60 1.9.2 from Maemo Garage.
Moreover here goes the announcement page.
We hope we all PyS60 fans will soon see a TouchUi enabled PyS60.
Enjoy Pythoning

Hello all
Here comes an effective application in PyS60 calls!nfo V1.0.0.
Calls!nfo is basically a enhanched way of representing the normal call logs in S60 phones. The application is developed by myself and my freind chintan (a.k.a ck.umraliya).
Call!nfo breaks the monotonous way of getting the call logs infomation and gives you details about your logs in a new graphical fashion. Following are the details about the application:
Features:

with all the above mentioned features there are some tasks which we are kept for future development and we will try to complete them as early as possible. The Future Palns are:
Future Plans:
For this application i like to give a special thanks to our prof.Kiran Trivedi without him this application would not have been possible.
The application can be downloaded from mobapps.
One morething if you are facing the problems with the sis file functioning , then you can downlaod the code package.
Just read the readme.txt and get going with the application.
Hope you all like the application and we are very much open to your suggestion and feedback.
Best regards

Hello all
This is my first blog so just a small introduction my name is Gargi Das. I am a final year engineering student and working on mobile applications since past two years. I also run a website with the help of my prof. Kiran Trivedi who is also a forum nokia champion, the site contains contain tutorials on making applications with PyS60. Presently apart from making applications in Python i am also working on the web run time technology. I guess thats much about me, now coming back to the main point.
This is just to inform the PyS60 developers and fans that the PyS60 1.9.1 is released.
This release runs on the S60 3rd edition, 3rd FP1, 3rd edition FP2 and in S60 5th edition devices also.
The important thing in this relaese is that the they have included the Zip files for SDKs. Which will help a lot in application development.
Now what 1.9.1 release have:
- The startup time and installation time are more optimized as compared to the earlier 1.9.0 release.
- All the Python files in the runtime sis are compiled into .pyc files and included in a zip file. sys.path is updated with the path of this zip file. This reduced the interpreter startup time considerably.
- A more generic error message is displayed when trying to load an application without the PyS60 Dependencies installed.
The targets for the final 2.0 release can be read from the announcement link on the Python Discussion boards.
Best regards
Gargi Das
