NokiaCV library - giving brains to your S60 imaging app

NokiaCV is a cool new computer vision library from Nokia Research Center. It provides some neat enhancements to the Symbian OS imaging capabilities, including capture enhancements (color conversions, panorama creation, etc.), motion estimation (for gaming UI for example), and post-capture editing (including image warping and adding things on images). 




On the page linked above there is a download link for the Nokia CV package (includes DLL for the library along with source code and SIS files for some sample demos using the library). Check it out! (I would, but I don't speak Symbian C++, unfortunately...)

Hello Hartti ,

It is not mandatory to speak Symbian C++ to try the examples and the package on your Nokia phone ;-)

But after trying to install the Nokia CV on two different model (N93 and N95) without any success II wrote to Nokia CV support :( They haven't reply to me yet ...
So I couldn't test it !

I tried myself to install the ncvlib.dll in sys/bin in memory card but the example show a nice error when you tried them :(

Has someone some success installing this library ???

I have tried it too, no success (using a N93). I even removed the original signature using
'signsis -u' and self signed the library myself but installing the library still fails.

Anyone out there knows what takes to install NCV?

Now there's no problem :-)
Support wrote me (thanks Hartti !) and they release a new version and it works perfectly !
This version is available since Monday !
Download it and try it and send them feedback ...

I just downloaded the new NCV files and installed fine. Everything
seems to be working, I think NCV seems to be a really cool project.
