Java Mobile and Embedded Developer Days are go! As my talk was already, I can also point you the location where you can follow the sessions live.
Big thanks to Terrence and Roger to get this event off the ground!

What kind of information about Java would you need?

Hi,
Can you please tell me how java would stand out differently from other mobile languages?

Compared to Symbian C++
Java has faster learning curve, it is available on more phones (although there is fragmentation), it is less capable (missing low-level access to many things like media playback/ recording, phone calls, built-in db , etc), overhead from being executed inside a VM
Compared to PyS60
Java is available on many more phones (no need to install it on the phone for example, like it is the case with PyS60), it lacks extension capabilities
Compared to Flash Lite
Java is available on more phones (even though FL has been expanding its reach rapidly), FL has excellent (although pricey) IDE,
I think I missed many points in here
Also, what are you trying to find out?
