Shameless book plug!

Having finally finished the version 9.0 S60 book I have been working on for a while with my fellow authors Reuben Edwards and Helen Clemson plus many others at Symbian Press and Wiley and I though I would share my joy in the fact that I have been told it will be launched at 3GSM in a few weeks. You will have to excuse my enthusiasm its my first book and even though I have published many academics papers in journals its much cooler to see your name on the front
The book is based on the exercises we do as part MSc in Mobile Games Design here at

Congratulations. Wish you all the best with your new book and soon be the top seller in Symbian programing book. Actually we can be pre-order at Amazon now. They sell the paperback version for USD40 and the hardcover for 91. Will go get one.

I have just started reading your book, which seems very interesting. Although an experienced developer I am new to the Symbian OS and the S60 platform. My question is, can I get the source code for your sample application? At least it would be nice if I could download the cards.mbm file. In your book (page 98) a link to a download site is given (http://developer.symbian.com/main/academy/press/books/s60p/) but this particular code is not found there. Can you help me?

JosteinThe orignal idea was for a book site but for some reason it seems to have not been implmented. I will speak to Symbain to arrange for it to go live asap.
