But yes, I do think this is useful article, anyway. Although I found couple of things that were not quite true as such. For example, I was involved in the development of a device management software and we could live without e.g. MultiMediaDD capability. Then as to file browsers: it's nice to say that this type of applications need AllFiles and DiskAdmin, but I can hardly believe that one such application will get AllFiles, for example.

But hey, it's a wiki so anyone can freely edit it. With the careful use of comment page (http://mobile-thoughts.blogspot.com/2007/04/forum-nokia-wiki-responsibility-of.html), of course. :)

You are right also on the capability need, it all comes down to what type of features you want for your application. The file browser with AllFiles is out of the question.

What about a call cost management application? Would that be considered to be a sensitive application? I.e. it would need access to all the calls and sms made on the phone

I know there is an API which can be used to read the contents of the inbox. No idea if there is a tool to read the device log file.
