I think power consumption is the biggest stumbling block to multimedia devices. I encourage everyone to visit that section and see what you can do.
This is an exponential increase as applications use less power, people will add more applications to their multimedia devices.

I agree, this is very important issue. There are some third party applications that don't take care of this issue carefully.

Believe it or not, I have to charge my N95 twice a day!!! I have no idea which applications caused this problem. First, I was thinking my SIP application. Apparently it is not. After I disabled it, I still charge my phone twice a day.

Then, I was thinking my WiFi scanner. After I disabled it, still no luck.

May be I have to reset my phone to the factory settings and install all my applications one by one. Unfortunately, I don't have time yet to investigate this further.

Hello Risto I am a Python for S060 developer from India.
Python can build many standby useful applications in day to day life..And Battery comsumption has always been the issue (unaddressed till yet) I have built so many standby applications in python which prove to be useful but sometimes I practically try to avoid using them as they eat up the battery!

Are there any features for powersaving that can be used with python?
I till date havent heard about any power saving libraries for python for S60 yet!

I am having very poor battery life.
Just got a new battery thinking it was bad.
My 6102 woulod go for 2 / 4 days depending on talk time.
This 6126 can't make it a day.
