Forum Nokia Developer Conference 09, INDIA - Infinite Possibilities

The stadium is jam packed....BANG!

and what an event!

Today I had a chance to attend this event at the software capital of India, Bangalore. The event was held at Taj Residency in the heart of the city (very good location, great arrangements). The event witnessed overwhelming response by a good number of developing companies, individual developers, operator leaders, Nokia and Symbian leaders. The crowd seemed to go above 400 in number. The first such event in India, focussed on the developer community and development oppurtunities. However, it also covered a variety of interesting keynotes from ellite speakers, amongst which were Mobile value added services (MVAS), Location based services (LBS), Mobile widgets, emerging markets, trends in mobile OS development, smartphone evolution, etc. Not to forget Technology Showcase where successful developers presented their applications and future roadmaps.

The Forum Nokia team organising the event showed high hospitability towards the participants. The technical guys, Balagopal NKnair and Nitin Srivastava, were busy discussing and sharing their technical expertise with the crowd. Shiraz Datta was also very friendly and discussed development oppurtunities with the participants.

It was quite a good time for me to network with some great people including some developers from other technologies and Forum Nokia Champions, whom I had never meet before. Special thanks to Mr. Prakash Sayini and Mr. Santosh Ostwal for sharing their personal career experiences and words of advice to students after the wind up. Last but not the least, the special memorable dinner with fellow Forum Nokia Champions and Forum Nokia Team before winding up. Also great thanks to Nicholas Foo, Technical leader for the Forum Nokia, APAC, for sharing the story of evolution of Forum Nokia with us at the dinner.

Like mentioned at the event, the presentations should be available at the event site soon.

Well done Forum Nokia... So where is the next one?

MWS Talks : Conclusion

Yesterday we had the special talks session on Mobile Web Server.

For those who are not aware about the MWS Talks, please read here.

The guys from Nokia were there to answer all the interesting questions and listen to some cool ideas - thanks to Johan Wikman, Jukka Eklund and Juha Pusa for joining in.

As always, we had a descent audience for the talks. We had good discussions about MWS APIs,MWS developement towards future devices, differences between Raccoon and MWS, PyS60 development on MWS, Streaming videos, etc.

For those who missed the MWS Talks due to some reason or the other, drop me an email and I shall help you with the follow up

That's Right ! We, the guys at Croozeus.com, are arranging special talks, for one of our Featured Applications, Mobile Web Server by Nokia.

The MWS guys at Nokia, missed the PyS60 Talks #3, and so we have arranged a special session of talks for discussions pertaining to MWS.

We would have the pleasure to be joined by Product Manager of the MWS - Jukka Eklund, with his comrades who would be addressing queries and would be glad to take your innovative ideas on MWS.
