eSeminar, Flash Lite + Java ME = Project Capuchin

On August 28th there will be a new eSeminar from Adobe, topic for this eSeminar is Flash Lite + Java ME, Project Capuchin.

"Attend this complimentary seminar and discover how to develop
intelligent applications with Adobe Flash Lite based, rich user
experience interfaces. Sony Ericsson experts will guide you through
this exciting mobile project by providing a step-by-step demonstration
for creating innovative content, and utilizing the development tools
and components needed to immediately create your own fun, unique
applications"

This is an interesting new project, integrating Flash Lite with Java ME. It would be great to see these capabilities extended to Nokia devices too. The idea is not new since last year Felipe and myself discuss the integration of Flash Lite and Java ME maily for installation purpose for Flash Lite content and the Jarpa open source project started.

Jarpa: Open Source Java Packaging for Flash Lite Developers

Felipe from i2Tecnologia created a Java Packaging tool for Flash Lite developers, Jarpa. It mean that you can package your Flash Lite content into a Jar file for distribution. Is been tested on S60 3rd and S40 5th and it works great. Now we need more testing on other S40 platfroms and other OEM.

The Jarpa project is open source so anyone can contribute.

Alessandro
