All things have their pros and cons and everyone has something to say when it comes to "This could have been done better."
Its a good attitude shown in the last paragraph...
"We can learn from anything no matter good or bad." :)

@wmseto: yep, I read it in your blog and think that it's pity. I mean, pity that you have to upgrade just because of this. On the other hand, it's probably due to technical limitations and then what can we do? :-\

@bogdan: first, welcome in the Champ team. :) Second, I'm glad that you share my view and thanks for the positive comments!

Wow, that was quite a post.

I guess you captured the essence when it comes to Apple's marketing strategy: they want exclusivity, which in one way is good, but in another is bad because if they are the sole distributors of 3rd party apps then they have no incentive to lower prices/have special offers.

I agree with your view on the APIs situation. Though it may present certain small risks for the manufacturing company, opening the to the public is a move developers really appreciate.

Last but not least I'd like to say that you have a great way of posting. Separating ideas with bullet-points and writing the key words/sentences in bold etc. makes it a lot easier to read.

You need more then a Mac...

I have the SDK downloaded, and I have a Mac... I cannot still cannot run the the SDK. It requires MacOS 10.5, and I am still in 10.4 for its stability.

MacOSX 10.5 cost $129 USD. @_@
