                &lt;p&gt;well i have read this on wiki i live in india and according to wiki.In India, a clause to include software patents was quashed by the Indian Parliament in April 2005.Your post was really good thanks.Its right that patents have better control over things rather than copyrights  as i think&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Patents are very clearly the wrong thing for software.  Copyright doesn&#039;t work very well but it&#039;s a lot better than a patent.&lt;/p&gt;
