   <description>&lt;p&gt;I agree. Software patents are ridiculous. Patents should only be given to concrete products with real value.&lt;br /&gt;

   <description>&lt;p&gt;well i have read this on wiki i live in india and according to wiki.In India, a clause to include software patents was quashed by the Indian Parliament in April 2005.Your post was really good thanks.Its right that patents have better control over things rather than copyrights  as i think&lt;/p&gt;

   <title>Nice one!</title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;Thanks for bringing this up here David!  The economics of the technology industry are tough enough as it is without a bigger chunk of everyone&#039;s budgets going to the lawyers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Patents are very clearly the wrong thing for software.  Copyright doesn&#039;t work very well but it&#039;s a lot better than a patent.&lt;/p&gt;
