I encourage more websites to be accessible to mobile phones.
I am involved (as a skilled volunteer) in assisting our town of Balranald in outback southwest NSW to encourage more visitors to stay for a few days and check out our unique Mungo (world heritage) and Yanga (NSW's newest) National Park. Because we have limited staff and financial resources I am helping all local organisations and businesses to use a mobilising tool at easymobilizer.com or its like instead of .mobi to mobilise their websites because your site might be okay as it is.
The tech guy tells me that it lets you insert a line of code to your website indexfile and it detects when you are accessing the website by a mobile device and displays the website as a mobile friendly version.
I am hoping that all visitors entering the town will get info by their mobile phones and stop and look at what we are and what we have etc. For a start we have great mobile coverage in town, so here's hoping.
regards Kim
